U/S Sports Advisors announces that Ronda Hite has been promoted to Vice President, Strategy and Planning. In her new and expanded role, Hite will oversee strategic initiatives and financial management for the company. Additionally, she represents the agency within key industry and community organizations.

Hite joined U/S Sports Advisors in 2013. She previously served as chief financial officer for iHoops (the official youth basketball organization of the NCAA and NBA). Before entering the world of sports, Hite was CFO of the North American Utilities Sector for Vertex Outsourcing, LLC, a customer management outsourcing company providing business process outsourcing services for the public utility and energy services industry worldwide.

Originally from North Carolina, Hite is a graduate of Western Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. She currently serves as Board Chair for the Indiana Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America and as treasurer for Sports Circle Indy.

Most recently, Bennett spent close to three years as senior vice president at Aquarius Sports and Entertainment in the Washington, D.C. metro, overseeing day-to-day client relations and marketing strategy among the agency’s largest partners, including Target, AAA and M&T Bank.

She also spearheaded talent recruitment and retention programs, cultivating a dedicated and fun agency culture. During her tenure, Aquarius was twice recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of America’s fastest-growing private companies and was named one of SportsBusiness Journal’s outstanding sports event and experiential marketing firms in America.

The race car driver, as expected, collects mostly racing memorabilia, petroliana items and more “guy stuff.”

“I collect things for the ‘cool-factor,'” he says. “I like doing the research, seeing what something is all about. I’m not interested in making money… at the same time, I’m not going to overpay. That’s why I study things.”

Joey Logano wanted it. The grin, pushing his cheeks into a giddy squint, was conclusive. But he didn’t need it, this gently warn, circa-last-century leather Tide Racing jacket.

“That thing is money,” he said.

Plucked from a wooden rack near the box of handsaws and dented metal of a Grapette soda cooler, the orange-and-blue treasure, resplendent with striped pocket piping and flip collar, soon was pulled over Logano’s Team Penske warm-up. If only the jacket didn’t fit, the lanky Sprint Cup driver said, depending on “how big my guts are here,” he would have his excuse to put it back.
